Tricom Funding’s Community Service
Tricom Funding is an active member of the community and believes strongly in the power of giving. In 2008, our president and CEO, Julie Ann Blazei, as well as Tricom Funding as a company, was recognized by the Association of Fundraising Professionals at their 30th Annual Partners in Philanthropy Awards Luncheon for Tricom’s work with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
By hosting events including clothing and food drives, auctions, car washes, bowling, and even pie-throwing contests, Tricom’s employees have raised money to support Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association, American Diabetes Association, Milwaukee Women’s Shelter, St. Vincent De Paul Society, the VA Medical Center, and the International Red Cross. Tricom employees have also donated clothes, food and other needed items to Operation Iraqi Children and to our troops in Iraq.
In addition to donations, once every quarter a rotating group of employees volunteer and serve at the St. Vincent De Paul Society meal program in Milwaukee.
At the heart of this spirit of service are our employees. In addition to the organizations above, they go above and beyond to support the following causes:
Al’s Memorial Run and Walk for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin
Since 1996, Tricom Funding has been a strong supporter of The Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. By participating in the annual Briggs & Al’s Run and Walk for Children’s Hospital, the company demonstrates its commitment to helping enhance the lives of every member of the community.
Tricom Funding is one of the top corporate sponsors for the event and consistently places first both in team size and Pledge and Gift Results. Tricom employees also participate in lunches and other activities throughout the year to raise money for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

Go Red For Women
Tricom is also passionate about health, which is why we have actively participated in the Go Red for Women day for the last several years. Employees show their support by wearing red on this day. In honor of the event, Tricom has raised over $500.00 for the American Heart Association through various lunches and raffles. We’ve also hosted healthy breakfasts and provided staff with healthy snacks and desserts. As another sign of commitment to a healthy lifestyle, Tricom provided staff with heart healthy recipes.
Season Of Giving
Tricom’s Season of Giving Team also focuses on the community through our employee’s efforts to raise money for a wide variety of charities. The team works with the Volunteer Center of Greater Milwaukee to receive holiday gift tags for children and seniors that employees then raise money to fulfill. The Volunteer Center of Greater Milwaukee works with numerous organizations. In the past years, Tricom has helped the Boys and Girls Club, Penfield’s Children Center, Hickman Academy Prep School, Hands of Faith Ministry, La Casa de Esperanza, and Mary McCloud Bethune Academy, Bethesda Senior Center, Volunteers of America–Wisconsin, and Community Care–Prospect. Employees have even had the privilege to drop gifts off and participate in their holiday party.
